HANOVER, N.H.—Jada Jones of Dartmouth women’s track & field and Jack Intihar of men’s track & field have been named The Richard’s Group Athletes of the Week following outstanding performances at the Ivy League Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
Each week, DartmouthSports.com will spotlight two outstanding student-athletes, one male, one female – as Athletes of the Week.
Jada Jones, Junior, Rock Hill, S.C., Women’s Track and Field
Jada Jones stood out for the Big Green at the Ivy League Outdoor Heptagonal Championships in New Haven, Conn., this past weekend. After being crowned the indoor 200m Ivy League Champion in March, Jones had a 23.55 finish in the outdoor 200m, defending her title and setting a school record in the process. Additionally, Jones brought home a bronze medal in the 400m with her 54.47 mark.
Jack Intihar, Sophomore, Crozet, Va., Men’s Track and Field
Jack Intihar had a highly successful weekend during the Ivy League Outdoor Heptagonal Championships. Intihar placed second in the decathlon with 7321 points, which is good for second all-time in program history. Additionally, he set personal records in six of the ten decathlon events, as well as putting himself at sixth all-time in the long jump with his 7.32m mark.
