LAWRENCE — Kansas basketball’s activity in the transfer portal continued on Saturday with the addition of Illinois guard Tre White, who announced his commitment over social media on Instagram.
White will be making the move to his fourth college team with the Jayhawks. He started at USC, before transferring to Louisville and then Illinois. This season, the 6-foot-7 junior started 31 of his 32 appearances and averaged 10.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game for a team that finished 22-13 and reached the second round of the NCAA tournament.
This is how Hunter Dickinson will remember his two seasons with Kansas basketball
White will be joining a Kansas team that lost its NCAA tournament opener. Self’s squad has seen numerous players decide to enter the transfer portal after the end of the 2024-25 campaign, but the 2025-26 squad is starting to come together. White’s commitment comes after the recent addition of Loyola-Chicago transfer guard Jayden Dawson.
