Kenrich Williams host free basketball camp in Waco, Texas
Kenrich Williams hosts a free youth basketball camp in Waco on Wednesday, July 23, to inspire and teach local young athletes.
WACO, Texas — The hometown hero is bringing his winning mentality back to the community that shaped him.
NBA champion Kenrich Williams hosts his own basketball camp, free of charge, in Waco on Wednesday to share his championship experience with the next generation of basketball players.
The camp, called “For the City” Waco Youth Basketball Camp, is slated to take place at the University High School gymnasium. The first session is for third through fifth graders from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The second session is for sixth through eighth-graders from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Following the success of his block party last month, Kenrich Williams continues his commitment to giving back to the Waco community.
As the first NBA player from Waco to win a championship, Williams wants to inspire and teach young athletes who look up to him as a role model.
The camp offers kids the chance to learn directly from a champion, developing not just their basketball skills, but also the winning mindset that helped take Williams to the top of professional basketball.
