LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Kentucky gymnastics team will open its 2025 season Saturday evening in Oklahoma City as the Wildcats are set to compete in session three of the 2025 Sprouts Farmers Market Collegiate Quad.
The first year of the Sprouts Farmers Market Collegiate Quad saw 634,000 viewers tune in to the second session between Oklahoma, LSU, UCLA and Utah on ABC, the most-viewed live regular season collegiate gymnastics meet in ESPN history. The 57% female viewing audience were locked in as the six-time national champion Sooners reigned supreme, with viewership peaking at nearly 800,000.

The event features 12 of the best gymnastics programs in the country split up into three made-for-TV sessions. Friday night on ACC Network, the event opens with Michigan, NC State, Clemson and Arizona competing at 9 p.m. ET. Saturday afternoon’s session will be on ABC featuring LSU, Cal, Oklahoma and Utah before the Wildcats take center stage at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN2 in session three. Each session will crown a winner with all scores counting towards each team’s regular-season RQS.

UK will be competing at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT inside the Paycom Center in downtown OKC, facing off against Arkansas, Ohio State and UCLA in an All-Big Ten and SEC showdown. The event is owned and operated by ESPN Events, with the Wildcats showcased to a national audience on ESPN2 and the ESPN app. Jon Roethlisberger and Aly Raisman will have the call of the meet for ESPN2 with Taylor Davis reporting from floor level.
Tim Garrison returns for his 14th season at the helm of Kentucky Gymnastics, having given the Wildcats unpresented success in his tenure at UK. The Wildcats last year advanced again to the NCAA Regional round of the postseason and qualified for the evening session of the Southeastern Conference Championship. Against Florida to finish the homestand in Rupp Arena, Kentucky set a new all-time overall score record with a 198.100. In addition to the new program best, Kentucky also set a record for the best score on the road at the Kidney Care Gymnastics Championship hosted in Nashville, Tenn., 197.925. Kentucky entered the Southeastern Conference in a three-seed for the second consecutive year finishing the meet in third with a 197.600 for the best finish ever at the conference competition.
