PHILADELPHIA – After cementing herself in the record books once again, junior Skyelar Kerico was named Gymnastics East Conference (GEC) Co-Gymnast of the Week, sharing the honors with Cornell’s Sydney Beers.

In the Quakers’ first meet at #21 Penn State, Kerico became the first Penn gymnast to complete the Yurchenko 1.5 on vault, earning a personal-best score of 9.850 and a first-place finish. She replicated that performance last week at #16 Rutgers, winning the vault again with a 9.850.

In the Garden State, she secured two other top five finishes, placing fifth on the bars (9.775) and the floor exercise (9.825).

Kerico has racked up five GEC Gymnast of the Week honors across her three years, the most by any Quaker.

Penn will be at The Palestra for the first time in 2025 as it will host Towson, Ursinus and Yale for a quad meet. The Red and Blue will recognize the six seniors who have contributed to the gymnastics program over the last four years.
