Kevin Lacroix will be back behind the wheel of the No. 74 NAPA Auto Parts Dodge this season in the NASCAR Canada Series, with his sights set firmly on the championship title that has narrowly eluded him in recent years.

The 2024 season saw Lacroix emerge as the winningest driver on the grid, with multiple trips to the top step of the podium. Despite the strong performance, misfortune once again stood in the way of clinching the crown. Now entering the new campaign, Lacroix returns with renewed focus and determination, supported by a strong group of partners including NAPA Auto Parts, Advanced One, and Quik Strut.

“We had a great season last year,” said Lacroix. “We were fast and consistent, but luck did not always go our way. We are coming back with the same drive to win, and we have done everything we can to be ready to fight for the title from the first green flag.”

Lacroix will once again collaborate with seasoned race engineer Étienne Cliche, a familiar figure in the NAPA Racing camp. Their renewed partnership is expected to be a key asset as the team tackles the demanding 2025 schedule.

In addition to the championship, Lacroix has set clear targets: defending his win at the NAPA 300 in Edmonton, and returning to the top step at the Grand Prix de Trois Rivières, where he has previously tasted victory but has not won in recent years.

“The NAPA 300 was a highlight last year, and I am excited to go back and try to do it again,” he added. “As for Trois Rivières, it is a race I have won before, but it has been too long. It is a special place for me, and I want to bring home that win again for the team and for the fans.”

The 2025 NASCAR Canada Series will kick off on May 18 at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Bowmanville, Ontario. From there, the championship will make stops across five provinces, including Autodrome Chaudière in Vallée-Jonction on May 31, Sunset Speedway on June 21, and Riverside International Speedway in Nova Scotia on June 28. The western swing begins with Edmonton International Raceway on July 12, followed by Sutherland Automotive Speedway in Saskatoon on July 16. The series then returns east for Calabogie Motorsports Park on July 27, before heading to the iconic Grand Prix de Trois Rivières on August 10. Rounds at Complexe ICAR (August 23), a return visit to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (August 31), and Delaware Speedway (September 13) will lead into the season finale at Autodrome Montmagny on September 21. With a mix of short ovals, road courses, and a celebrated street circuit, the 12 race campaign promises high intensity from start to finish.

“I am looking forward to getting back to Sunset Speedway after a few years away—it is a unique oval that always delivers great racing,” said Lacroix. “Calabogie will be new for most of us, and I think it is going to be very interesting strategically. Tire degradation will definitely come into play there. And of course, racing at ICAR is always special—it is my home track, and I cannot wait to compete in front of our local crowd again.”
