BASKETBALL
• GEARS will be accepting registrations for girls and boys in grades 1-10 for the BEARS youth basketball program. Players will participate in practices and games from late November through January. Participation levels are grades 1 and 2 (instructional), grades 3 and 4, grades 5 and 6, and grades 7-10. Draft day for boys in grades 3-4 is Nov. 3 from 6-7 p.m. Draft day for boys in grades 5-6 is Nov. 3 from 7:15-8:15 p.m. Draft day for girls in grades 3-4 and 5-6 is Nov. 5 from 6-7 p.m. All drafts will be held in the Bear Creek School Gym. Boys and girls in grades 1-2 is a Saturday-only program at East High Elementary. Boys and girls in grades 3-4 will practice one day per week and play games on Saturdays. Grades 5-6 and grades 7-10 will practice two days per week and play games on Saturdays. Registration fee for the grades 1-2 is $65. Registration fee for grades 3-4 is $75. • Coaches at GEARS will teach basic shooting, dribbling and passing skills in Iddy Biddy Basketball. PICKLEBALL
• GEARS is offering pick-up pickleball for all ages through Dec. 30. Equipment is available. • The 53rd running of the Millersville Turkey Trot will be held on Thanksgiving morning, Nov. 27, at Millersville University’s Biemesderfer Field.
