Taryn Cotanny of Latta notched first place at 150 pounds. She finished second in the squat at 195 pounds.Latta’s Faith Adegbule swept through all three lifts to run away with the 181-pound title. She lifted 300 in the squat, 140 in the bench and 325 in the deadlift.SHAWNEE — The Latta High School girls powerlifting team is off to a great start.

Other Latta results included: Daisy Marical, 3rd, 136; Ollie Miller, 3rd, 150; Stacie Williams, 3rd, 181; Caton Cooley, 3rd, 220; Ryan Gray, 6th, 136; Saylor Sullivan, 6th, 165; Aubrey Hart, 8th, 121; Taylor Cotanny, 8th, 136; Brooklyn Brust, 8th, HWT; and Ayzia Booth, 9th, 136.Jadyn Jackson won the heavyweight crown She finished first in the deadlift at 325.Kiki Williams won the gold in the 181 division. She finished first in the bench (135), first in the deadlift (355) and second in the squat (225).After capturing the championship at the Jones Invitational earlier this month, the Lady Panthers won the small school title at the Bethel Invitational held Wednesday at the Firelake Arena in Shawnee.Latta finished atop the team standings with 253 points. Oktaha was a distant second at 125 and Walters finished third at 91. Coalgate was fourth with an 85 total and Healdton followed with a 70 score.Latta’s Audrey Forshay finished atop the 121-pound standings after she finished first in the deadlift (285), third in the bench (95) and fifth in the squat (175).
