BETHLEHEM, Pa. – After playing in back-to-back home games, Lehigh men’s basketball returns to the road to face the Navy Midshipmen in Annapolis, Maryland on Wednesday evening. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. from Alumni Hall.Wednesday’s game will be broadcast on ESPN+ and can be listened to on Fox Sports 94.7 FM and 1230 AM.Navy leads the all-time series against Lehigh 56-36. The Midshipmen were victorious in the first meeting of the season two weeks ago at Stabler Arena by a score of 79-54.If Lehigh wins, they would earn their tenth win of the season and improve to 5-8 in Patriot League play. Head coach Dr. Brett Reed‘s all-time record against American would improve to 22-16.Following Wednesday’s game, the Mountain Hawks return home to host Senior Day against the Holy Cross Crusaders on Saturday, February 15 at 2 p.m.The Midshipmen sit in seventh place in the league headed into Wednesday’s contest. Navy defeated Lehigh on January 29, but have now lost their last three contests since that win. In their last time out, the Midshipmen fell 61-51 to Lafayette in Easton. Junior guard Austin Benigni leads the team and ranks second in the Patriot League at 18.0 points per game and ranks second in the league with 4.2 assists per game.  Riding a two-game win streak, Lehigh men’s basketball returned to action on Saturday afternoon to take on the first-place American University Eagles at Stabler Arena. Sophomore Joshua Ingram sank two clutch free throws with one second remaining to force overtime, but the Eagles prevailed 78-75 in extra time. Lehigh and American were nearly identical from the floor, as the Mountain Hawks shot 42.6% (23-54) to AU’s 42.4% (25-59). The Mountain Hawks struggled from three-point range, shooting 17.4% (4-23) while the Eagles shot 23.8% (5-21). The story of the game was at the free throw line, where American shot 85.2% (23-27) to Lehigh’s 67.6% (25-37). Five Mountain Hawks scored in double-figures while Tyler Whitney-Sidney led the team with 19 points.
