The NCAA announced the fields for the NCAA West First Round that will be conducted this week in College Station, Texas on May 22. The top 48 in each event advanced to the NCAA West First Round with the following Long Beach State competitors making the field.

In the running events, there are six heats. The top three in each heat, plus the next six, advance to the quarterfinals. The top three in each quarterfinal plus the following best three times advance to the June 11-14 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon.
 
In the field events, the top 12 overall placers advance to Eugene. There will be a jump-off in the pole vault and high jump if there is a tie for 12th. In the discus, hammer, javelin, shot, and triple jump, the top 12 advance to nationals with no ties.
 
ESPN+ streams coverage each day. Wednesday and Thursday’s ESPN+ coverage begins at 4 p.m. Friday, and Saturday’s ESPN+ coverage starts at 3 p.m. Championships central can be found here.
