Twelve professional sports organizations in Los Angeles have pledged to donate more than million to assist victims and firefighters impacted by the region’s recent fires.Fanatics, professional leagues, and Los Angeles sports organizations launched an “LA Strong” apparel collection on Jan. 10, with proceeds benefiting the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation and the American Red Cross. fanatics.com/lastrong.The Angels, Chargers, Clippers, Dodgers, Ducks, Galaxy, Kings, LAFC, Lakers, Rams and Sparks are making contributions to organizations including the American Red Cross, Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, California Fire Foundation, Eaton Canyon Fire Relief and Recovery Fund, World Central Kitchen, California Community Foundation Wildfire Recovery Fund, Team Rubicon and several local animal rescue organizations.Evacuated residents with proof of residency in affected ZIP codes can attend. Bus transportation will be provided from area evacuation shelters to the distribution sites. Attendees will also receive lunch, personal hygiene kits, school supplies and sneakers, compliments of the teams and their community partners.The sports teams of Los Angeles are committed to supporting the communities who have cheered them on. This collective effort highlights the significance of being there for the communities who have been there for them.Beyond monetary donations, the 12 teams, in conjunction with Fanatics and the Fanatics Foundation, will provide million worth of Fanatics merchandise to be distributed to evacuees. The teams are also hosting three distribution events on Friday, Jan. 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Dodger Stadium, SoFi Stadium and BMO Stadium.
