What They’re Saying
Coach Kyle Ruschell on what stuck out most reflecting on VMI win:
“Just how hard our guys worked for bonus points. We’re going to continue to look to score more points. We tried to find bonus points when we could with guys looking for majors, techs and pins. That’s what it’s going to come down to at the conference tournament, and the dual meets the rest of the year. We need to avoid them (against us), and we need to go get them when we can.”
Ruschell on how well this team comes together on the road and how it sparked a tighter camaraderie:
“I’ve talked about the last few weeks. They’re wrestling more for each other than themselves. They understand that wrestling hard makes good things happen. The bench is completely different from when we wrestled Princeton and Purdue. It goes back to Norman. From when we were out there to this last weekend, our bench is excited for each other and support each other to go out there and compete.”
