WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Hamilton College’s Jade Matthias ’26 took first place in two events in a tri-meet with nationally ranked teams Williams College and Middlebury College at Williams’ Samuelson-Muir Pool on Saturday afternoon, Jan. 25.
Matthias won the 50-yard backstroke (27.76 seconds) and the 50 butterfly (26.36) and finished third in the 100 back (59.82). She had a great duel with teammate Chloe Lan ’28 in the 50 fly as Lan ended up just one-tenth of a second behind.
The Continentals host Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute on Saturday, Feb. 1 in their only meet at Bristol Pool this season. Hamilton will honor its seven seniors prior to the meet, which starts at 1 p.m.
