Federal Way, Wash. – The University of North Carolina men’s swimming and diving program tied for 23rd at the NCAA Championships this weekend. The 23rd-place finish matches the finish from 2023 and equals the program’s best since an 18th-place finish in 2015.The Heels scored in five events and set school records eight times over the four-day meet.
 
Ben Delmar scored for the Tar Heels on Saturday, taking fifth in the Consolation Final and 13th overall in the 200 breast. He clocked a time of 1:50.96 after breaking his own school record in prelims with a 1:50.51.
 
The 400 free relay of Patrick Hussey, Louis Dramm, PJ Foy and Martin Kartavi broke their own school record, swimming a 2:49.44. Hussey bettered his own school record in the 100 free on the opening leg with a 42.13.
