Surprise police have not yet disclosed the nature of their case involving Godsil.
MESA, Ariz. — Mesa’s Dobson High School football coach Richard Godsil was arrested Thursday by Surprise police.
Godsil has been employed with Mesa Public Schools since 2019.
Godsil was arrested while on campus and the school has already placed him on administrative leave, according to a letter sent out by Dobson’s principal.
The police case reportedly does not involve students from the East Valley school district, the principal said.
The coach was reportedly arrested on the Dobson campus, according to the principal.
