REDHAWKS RECORD 3.33 GPA IN SPRING SEMESTER

Miami University student-athletes continued their success in the classroom during the spring semester. The RedHawks’ entire group of student-athletes combined to post a 3.33 grade-point average, marking their 41st-straight semester with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Collectively, more than three-quarters of Miami’s student-athletes (77.36%) achieved a 3.0 GPA or higher, with 64 student-athletes producing a perfect 4.0 GPA.

MIAMI BASEBALL CLAIMS MAC TOURNAMENT TROPHY, HEADS TO NCAA REGIONALS!

The Miami University baseball team went 3-0 in Avon, Ohio, last week to sweep through the MAC Tournament and win the title for the first time since 2005. Dominic Krupinski was named MAC Tournament MVP, with Clayton Burke, Cooper Katskee and Anthony Zarlingo joining him on the All-Tournament Team for Miami. Miami earned an automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament and will play in the Knoxville Regional, with the RedHawks’ first game in the tournament set for 6 p.m. on Friday, May 30 against Tennessee on ESPN+.

The RedHawks were also well-represented when the conference awards were announced last Tuesday, as Brian Smiley was named MAC Coach of the Year, Katskee was tabbed MAC Pitcher of the Year and seven student-athletes earned All-MAC recognition. Additionally, Dillon Baker was named a semifinalist for the Brooks Wallace Award, which honors the top shortstop in the nation.

FIVE REDHAWKS QUALIFY FOR NCAA EAST FIRST ROUND

Five Miami University student-athletes will participate in the East First Round of the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships May 28-31 in Jacksonville, Fla. Allie Melchiorre (javelin), Ella Rigel (hammer), Ella Scally (long jump), Adam Smith (discus) and Abby Suszek (400m) will represent the RedHawks in Florida.

Miami also had four honorees on the All-MAC teams that were announced this week: Suszek was named to the First Team, while Melchiorre, Rigel and Emily Eterovich earned Second-Team recognition.

HOCKEY RECRUITING CLASS RANKED NO. 4 IN NATION

Miami Hockey head coach Anthony Noreen will welcome the No. 4 recruiting class in the country to his program ahead of the 2025-26 season. The incoming group of RedHawk freshmen is ranked fourth overall by Neutral Zone. The RedHawks’ class features an average ranking of 3.75 stars per recruit. Miami has the highest-ranked recruiting class of any NCHC team and is one of just three NCHC institutions in the top 20.
