Millard community ‘going to remember’ Battle at Buell outdoor volleyball triangular
OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Millard South hosted the inaugural Battle at Buell, an outdoor high school volleyball triangular between the Patriots, Millard North and Millard West on Thursday.
It is Nebraska’s first outdoor high school volleyball event and follows in the footsteps of Volleyball Day in Nebraska, when the Husker volleyball team hosted a women’s world record 92,003 fans inside Memorial Stadium for an in-state match against Omaha in Aug. 2023.
For those involved in the high school version, it was a special night of volleyball and community.
“I’m going to remember me having fun with all of my friends,” Millard South junior DS/libero Nevaeh Jacobsen said. “I think that’s like the biggest thing, and just having all of our fans watch us, it’s definitely super supportive for Millard South. For the Millard community to pop out tonight, it was amazing. I was just super exciting.
All of the matches were exhibitions.
