Motorcyclist With Fake “Will Run” Plate Arrested After 100 MPH Chase in Meeker County
(KNSI) – A man with a fake license plate on his motorcycle, which read “Will Run,” is accused of doing just that.
According to the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office, around 6:30 Sunday evening, someone called police to say a motorcycle driver was speeding back and forth through the City of Watkins on Highway 55. When the deputy spotted the bike and tried to pull the driver over, he fled, leading deputies on a two-mile chase at speeds of 100 miles an hour before pulling into the driveway of a home and fleeing on foot. He was arrested a short time later.
The 37-year-old man was booked into the Meeker County Jail on several charges and is awaiting his first court appearance.
KNSI News does not typically identify suspects until they’re formally charged.
