TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Mississippi State baseball is facing elimination from the NCAA tournament.
The No. 3 seed Bulldogs (35-22) lost 10-3 to No. 1 Florida State (40-14) in the Tallahassee Regional on May 31 at Dick Howser Stadium.
The Seminoles torched MSU ace pitcher Pico Kohn for seven runs in four innings. A grand slam by Myles Bailey gave them a 7-1 lead and bounced Kohn from the game.
Mississippi State must beat No. 2 Northeastern (49-10) on June 1 (11 a.m. CT) for a rematch against Florida State in the regional final.

Sawyer Reeves injury update
Mississippi State starting shortstop Sawyer Reeves left the Northeastern game with an injury in the third inning. He did not return. Mississippi State has not provided an update on his status. Freshman Lukas Buckner replaced him in the game.
