MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) – It appears the number of republicans seeking to be Minnesota’s next governor is growing.

MyPillow founder and CEO Mike Lindell, a 2020 election denier and supporter of President Trump, has filed paperwork to run for office.

Lindell said he will further discuss his potential run at a press conference scheduled for next week.

He has been at the center of a number of legal battles in the wake of the 2020 presidential election.

Candidates who’ve announced a gubernatorial run include: Minnesota House Speaker Lisa Demuth, 2022 challenger Dr. Scott Jensen, current State Representative Kristin Robbins, businessman and army veteran Kendall Qualls and businessman Brad Kohler, all seeking the republican nomination.
