Three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Joey Logano has received a huge honor ahead of this weekend’s action at Talladega Superspeedway.

The Cup Series returns this weekend with the Jack Link’s 500 on Sunday, but ahead of the race, Logano has been inducted into the Talladega Walk of Fame.

The Walk of Fame induction ceremony, which is held at Davey Allison Memorial Park, honors outstanding drivers and attracts race fans from far and near, according to Talladega City officials.

“We are thankful to Talladega Superspeedway and other community partners who are committed to helping the City of Talladega preserve this cherished tradition,” Derrick Swanson, Talladega City Manager, explained.

“We are also appreciative of the thousands of tourists and race car fans who have visited Davey Allison Memorial Park since 1994 to view plaques dedicated to their favorite drivers.

“We encourage fans to explore the city, dine, and shop while they are in Talladega for race weekend.”

Joey Logano inducted into Talladega Walk of Fame

It was announced earlier this month that Logano was set to be one of two new inductees to the Walk of Fame earlier this month, with former Talladega City Council President James Spratlin, who assisted in the walk’s establishment, also honored.

“Joey is no stranger to visiting victory lane at Talladega and his continued success has earned him a well-deserved spot among NASCAR’s greatest in the Talladega Walk of Fame,” said Brian Crichton, Talladega Superspeedway President, earlier this month.

“Joey is a remarkable talent for our sport and his passion and dedication to racing will continue to be on full display for years to come.”

Team Penske shared Logano’s induction to their social media pages, celebrating the three-time champion and his legacy.

“Etched into another legacy. Joey Logano makes his mark on the Talladega Walk of Fame,” Team Penske wrote.

Logano joins team-mate Ryan Blaney in the Walk of Fame after his induction in 2023, including a host of other NASCAR legends, including seven-time champion Dale Earnhardt.

The National Motorsports Appeals Panel today heard and considered an appeal of an L1 penalty issued on May 15, 2025 to driver Chris Buescher, owner RFK Racing and crew chief Scott Graves in the NASCAR Cup Series.

The penalty concerns the following sections of the 2025 NASCAR Rule Book: Section 14.1.C Overall Assembled Vehicle Rules and 14.5.4.G Front Bumper Cover and 14.1.2.B Engineering Change Log / Exhaust Cover Panel Communiqué #6. The penalties issued were a two-race suspension to Graves, a $75,000 fine to the team and the loss of 60 championship points and five Playoff points to the driver and owner.

Upon hearing the testimony, the decisions of the National Motorsports Appeals Panel are:

1.                  That the Appellant violated one or more, but not all, of the Rule(s) set forth in the Penalty Notice.

                                                  i.    The team violated 14.5.4 – Front Bumper Cover

ii.    The team did not violate 14.1.2 – Exhaust Cover Panel

2.                  That the Panel amends the original Penalty assessed by NASCAR to read:

                                                  i.    A loss of 30 championship driver and team owner points

ii.    A loss of 5 driver and team owner Playoff points

iii.    Two-race suspension for the crew chief

                                                iv.    $75,000 fine for team

In reaching the above decision, the panel provided the following explanation: “The panel concluded that NASCAR met its burden of proof regarding the reinforcement of the front bumper cover but did not meet it regarding the trimming of the exhaust panel cover. The rule book regarding the exhaust panel trimming lacked specificity on the amount trimmed or not trimmed. Accordingly, the Panel reduced the owner and driver points penalty from 60 to 30 points.”

The Appeals Panel members for this hearing:

  • Mr. Tom DeLoach
  • Mr. Cary Tharrington
  • Mr. Kevin Whitaker

The Appellant has the right to appeal the decision of the National Motorsports Appeals Panel to the National Motorsports Final Appeals Officer in accordance with the NASCAR Rule Book.

Joe Gibbs Racing announces today that it has partnered with COOFANDY, a menswear label, to serve as the primary sponsor for Christopher Bell and the No. 20 Toyota Camry XSE for this fall’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Martinsville Speedway on October 26.

“We look forward to helping COOFANDY celebrate their 10-year anniversary and introducing their brand of clothing to our fans,” said Joe Gibbs, owner of Joe Gibbs Racing. “They have an outfit to help inspire confidence for any occasion and our race team shares a lot in common with COOFANDY, as we both pursue excellence and have a passion for winning.”

The collaboration marks a landmark moment for both the brand and the athlete, blending fashion and sport in a shared mission to inspire confidence, personal expression and style. It also introduces COOFANDY’s “Dress the Win” campaign, built on the belief that every victory deserves the perfect outfit. It encourages men to express their individuality with confidence and charm.

As part of the agreement with COOFANDY, Bell will serve as a global ambassador for the brand, which was founded in 2015 and built on the simple yet meaningful idea that every man has the right to wear confidence. Since its debut, COOFANDY has been known for pieces that strike a balance between modern edge and classic appeal, from breathable summer shirts and crisp linen sets to lightweight blazers perfect for day-to-night transitions.

The Dress the Win campaign launches alongside the brand’s new concept, “Dress the Journey”, which is dedicated to accompanying men through the most meaningful moments of their lives, whether they’re walking across a graduation stage, starting a new job, getting married or cheering on their kids at a little league game. Clothing, according to the brand, is not just about fabric; it’s about identity, intention and self-expression.

“I’m excited for our partnership with the COOFANDY brand,” said Christopher Bell, driver of the Joe Gibbs Racing No. 20 Toyota. “Being confident is definitely an important part of being successful on the racetrack and COOFANDY’s Dress The Win campaign encourages confidence in men for every one of life’s important moments.”

Now in his sixth full-time NASCAR Cup Series season, Bell has earned 12 career wins in the sport’s premiere series. His three victories so far this season are tied for the series lead and he is currently third in the driver standings. Most recently, Bell won the NASCAR All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro Raceway on May 18. Bell has impressed at every level of the sport he has raced having earned 19 NASCAR Xfinity Series wins and seven NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series victories. He is also the 2017 NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series Champion.

With the addition of this partnership with JGR and Bell, COOFANDY enters the world of sports and performance, expanding its message to a broader audience. The sponsorship of the Martinsville race highlights a shared commitment to preparation, focus and seizing the moment — values that resonate on and off the track.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. airs it out on Kyle Larson, Indy 500, Coke 600 double

Dale Earnhardt Jr. watched as Kyle Larson attempted The Double for the second consecutive season, looking to race and compete in both the Indianapolis 500 and the Coca-Cola 600. As the motorsports world now knows, it did not go swimmingly for the Hendrick Motorsports star.

There was a ton of commentary surrounding Larson’s attempt, and Earnhardt Jr. aired his thoughts on the matter out on the latest episode of his Dale Jr. Download show. While the two-time Daytona 500 champion believes the weekend started with a ton of positive energy, there wasn’t much by the end of Sunday night.

“All the way up until the start of the Indy 500, there was a positive vibe around it,” Earnhardt Jr. stated. “Like, ‘All right, this is going to be cool, (Larson) doing The Double. We’ve got a guy to watch that’s going to do The Double.’ He went out there and he struggled, had a bad run at Indy. There were some pot-shots, in terms of public opinion about it. … Then Larson came to Charlotte and hit the wall, and his day spiraled from there.

” So, there’s this interesting conversation in social media around — there’s people that want to see him do it again. There’s people that are big Larson fans, ‘Hey, you have bad days.’ Then, there’s the other side that’s like, ‘Well, I guess he’s not as good as you say.’ … I will say this. I admire Larson’s ability.

“I admire Larson and anyone who’s willing to be humbled. It takes more balls to be humbled than it does to get in something comfortable and fast. It doesn’t impress me for a guy to get in something that he’s familiar with and go out and kick everybody’s ass. That doesn’t impress me as much as seeing someone get into something they don’t know well, even if they fail. … I’m more impressed by that than anything else.”

While Earnhardt Jr. was impressed with Larson’s tenacity, he expected the NASCAR Cup Series star to have a better go-round in IndyCar. It reminded him of when Kurt Busch notched a top ten during his attempt at the Indianapolis 500, and how difficult the feat truly is.

“I think we expected Larson to do better at Indy, but you could see the signs that it was a struggle this year. … Think about Kurt Busch. Many years ago, he went up there and ran sixth. I don’t think we really appreciated just what Kurt had done,” Earnhardt Jr. added. “We were like, ‘He made it look too easy.’ Now we all think our Cup guys should jump in those cars and run top five. It ain’t that easy.”

Dale Earnhardt Jr. on Kyle Larson, future attempt at The Double: ‘I don’t want him to do it again’

Alas, Larson’s second attempt at The Double didn’t go as bad as his first, as he made it to both races, Earnhardt Jr. is over him looking to accomplish the feat. The NASCAR Hall of Famer would rather see him focus on winning the Coca-Cola 600, which remains one of the crown jewel events in the Cup Series.

“I don’t want him to do it again,” Earnhardt Jr. delineated. “… To me? He hasn’t done The Double. He’s not going to be satisfied until he can get to the finish line with great results in both races. I’m sure that he feels like he didn’t even get close to accomplishing it. You know, he fell far short. So, there’s probably something in there, his competitiveness is probably saying, ‘I’m not satisfied. I’m going to do it again.’

“But the pure logistics of it? The month is a pain in the ass, between Indy and NASCAR. He’s still racing in other Cup races during that first part of the month. He’s still got his real job to do. He has to answer the questions, ‘Which race is more important? What matters more? What happens if this? What happens if that happens?’ It’s like man, it’s just not worth it.”

‘I won’t be that excited about an announcement for him to do it again’

Still, if Larson believes a third time would be the charm, Earnhardt Jr. would sign up to see him attempt it. The novelty might’ve wore off a bit after the last two years though, and the Prime Video analyst simply believes Larson is better suited focusing on Charlotte instead of the added pressure of The Double.

“The cool factor of The Double is still there for me. I still think it’s a cool thing that if you want to give it a shot, give it a shot. But he, in my mind, from a fan standpoint, I won’t be that excited about an announcement for him to do it again,” Earnhardt Jr. proclaimed. “I’ll be more like, ‘Come on, man, let’s go win the 600.’

“… I felt like the dude got there and was smoked. He was absolutely flying in that car. And I think if he’s not at Indy — he busted his ass at the top of three and four, on the bumps. If he’s not at Indy, I think he’s more plugged in, tuned in, more sharp and self aware of all of the things he needs to be careful of and avoid to be able to win a 600 mile race at Charlotte.”

Dale Earnhardt Jr. certainly has a ton of respect for what Kyle Larson attempted over the weekend. What the Hendrick Motorsports star decides for 2026 remains to be seen, but he’ll be hoping for a smoother Sunday afternoon if he returns to Indianapolis on Memorial Day Weekend next year.

With newly increased turn angles and a narrower track, Atlanta Motor Speedway now provides the superspeedway draft-style race NASCAR fans have come to love. There’s also plenty of excitement in the Fan Zone before drivers take the quad-oval, including concerts, autograph signings and even occasional sea lion shows. Want to get closer to the action? Take advantage of the track’s impressive on-site camping facilities.

Get ready to feel the noise at Bristol Motor Speedway! Cars constantly zoom by due to the track’s small size, and the tall arena-style seating enhances the sound of fans’ cheers while giving them a bird’s-eye view of the action. And the action is in no short supply—Bristol is known for its intense close racing and exciting crashes. This high-banked short track has earned its nickname as the Last Great Colosseum.

Charlotte Motor Speedway | Concord, NC

Charlotte Motor Speedway’s traditional quad-oval layout allows drivers to reach speeds in the 180s, making it one of the fastest tracks on the circuit. Once a year, the track is reconfigured into “The Roval,” which adds nearly a mile and 13 new turns to the course. Families love the infield camping options and Turn 4 Sun Deck: a pavilion with food, games and a Ferris wheel.

Darlington Raceway | Darlington, SC

Called “The Track Too Tough to Tame” and “The Lady in Black,” Darlington Raceway challenges even the most seasoned drivers. The asymmetrical layout creates two distinctive sets of turn radiuses, and the racing line puts drivers directly next to the track’s outside walls, setting the stage for exhilarating tests of speed and endurance. The venue is also home to the Darlington Raceway Hall of Winners museum.

Each season, drivers gather at Daytona for the first race where they can earn points. The 2.5-mile tri-oval course is one of just three officially recognized superspeedways on the circuit. It features some of the sport’s highest banked turns, meaning higher speeds and better views for spectators. Fans appreciate the grandstands’ wide seats and the concession stands spread throughout the three concourse levels.

At exactly 1 mile long, Dover’s Monster Mile combines the best elements of short and intermediate tracks. The course’s 24-degree banked turns and concrete surface make for a true test of driver handling and vehicle performance. In addition to heart-pounding races, fans love the venue’s 46-foot-tall monster statue (cleverly named “Miles”) and its location within Bally’s Dover Casino Resort.

Homestead-Miami Speedway | Homestead, FL

Homestead-Miami Speedway brings the South Beach vibes with its pastel colors and palm-tree-lined backstretch. But the racing at this track is no day at the beach—its progressive banking creates higher angles closer to the outside wall, leading to photo-finish showdowns. Before the green flag drops, fans with pre-race pit passes can visit pit row to learn more about the crews supporting their favorite drivers.

The Brickyard isn’t just a favorite among NASCAR fans; racing enthusiasts from around the world flock to this historic venue for Indy car, IMSA, SVRA and other races year-round. And with more than 250,000 permanent seats, it has the highest capacity of any venue on the circuit. When fans aren’t watching the action on the perfectly symmetrical oval track, they can visit the on-site museum.

Kansas Speedway | Kansas City, KS

Surrounded by popular shopping and entertainment venues (including a casino), Kansas Speedway feels more like a destination than a racetrack. Fans can cheer their favorite drivers from the grandstands around the 1.5-mile tri-oval or from the Highline District: a paved fan zone with yard games, live music and exclusive drink offerings. Infield RV camping and outside campsites are also available.

Race day festivities kick off long before lap one at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Fans with a pre-race track pass can walk on the actual racing surface and enjoy a concert on the infield stage. Even more excitement awaits in the Neon Garage, which grants spectators access to live entertainment, driver Q&A sessions, Victory Lane celebrations and a unique view of the race from pit road.

Martinsville has been a part of the NASCAR Cup Series since the beginning, hosting a race every year since 1949. While its history may be long, it’s the shortest track on the circuit and relatively flat, leading to thrilling showdowns in tight quarters. Extensive perimeter seating provides fans with sweeping views of the entire paperclip-shaped course and a great place to enjoy a famous Martinsville Hot Dog.

Michigan International Speedway | Brooklyn, MI

As the fastest track on the NASCAR Cup Series schedule, it’s no wonder why Michigan International Speedway is popular among race fans. The long straightaways allow drivers to reach speeds over 190 miles per hour, and the stadium seating makes it easy for spectators to keep their eyes on the action. Free parking and extensive camping options round out the fan experience for an unforgettable race weekend.

Talladega Superspeedway | Talladega, AL

With the longest track length and the highest-banked turns, Talladega puts the “super” in superspeedway. This enormous tri-oval features a wide raceway, setting the stage for dramatic passes and photo finishes. Fans rave about the tailgating and community found in the extensive infield and outside campsites. Premium experiences are also available, including pre-race driver meet-ups and Victory Lane admission.

Between racing pigs, ’90s country music cover bands, lucha libre matches and free-roaming dancing robots, there’s truly something for everyone to enjoy at Texas Motor Speedway. And that’s just the action in the Fan Zone! On the track, spectators can expect thrilling showdowns around high-banked turns, all visible on Big Hoss: the world’s largest LED TV. RV camping and tailgating inside the quad-oval is also popular.

Known simply as the Glen, this scenic road track offers a unique experience for drivers and fans alike. Eleven thrilling turns spread across 2.5 miles of asphalt take the drama of race day to the next level. Fans especially love the infield camping.
