This weekend is the first time the NASCAR Cup Series will race at the freshly renamed EchoPark Speedway in Atlanta. The track has been through so many variations over the years. What’s a new name but another evolution?
The track formerly known as Atlanta Motor Speedway will once again host the Cup Series this weekend. We may see another surprise winner, shaking up the NASCAR Playoffs.
With all eyes on Atlanta, a few Cup Series drivers have special paint schemes. Will we see another photo finish or a last-lap wreck?
Chase Elliott No. 9 NAPA Desi9n to Drive Chevy

It feels like no other driver is poised to win a race right now than Chase Elliott. He’s been the most consistent driver this season. But that can only get you so far in the playoffs.
NASCAR’s Most Popular Driver has his fan-made scheme ready to go. The Desi9n to Drive Chevy looks fantastic, and a win in his home state would be great for Elliott. 9/10.
Denny Hamlin No. 11 King’s Hawaiian Rolls Toyota
It is strange that this isn’t an RFK Racing car. King’s Hawaiian is with Joe Gibbs Racing and Denny Hamlin this season and the No. 11 looks great.
These drafting races haven’t gone Hamlin’s way much in the Next Gen era. Could EchoPark Speedway change that for the NASCAR veteran? 8.5/10.
Chris Buescher No. 17 Cinnamon Toast Crunch Ford
Everyone’s favorite paint scheme this week has to be the No. 17, right? Chris Buescher has Kroger and Cinnamon Toast Crunch on his Ford Mustang Dark Horse.
The promotion behind this has been great online. RFK Racing knows how to put together a great paint scheme that fits their branding and the branding of the sponsor. 10/10.
Joey Logano No. 22 AutoTrader Ford
The AutoTrader Ford is one of my favorites. Blue and orange make for great paint schemes and this one is no different.
Joey Logano has won at Atlanta. He could really use a win there this weekend to pick up more playoff points and improve his position for the postseason. 8/10.
Bubba Wallace No. 23 Leidos Toyota
This car is supposed to look like the moon, I think, but it just looks like a golf ball to me most of the time. Still, it isn’t bad to look at and the purple Leidos colors are pleasing to look at.
Bubba Wallace has to get back on track. He has seen his points cushion almost completely disappear. A few weeks of solid finishes to close out the summer might be enough to save his playoff position. 7.5/10.
Todd Gilliland No. 34 Rinnai Water Heaters Ford
The Front Row Motorsports trio hasn’t been as great as I think many expected them to be this season. While RFK Racing has improved as a three-car operation, FRM hasn’t really done that.
Todd Gilliland has a great-looking scheme for this NASCAR weekend. Rinnai will be visible on this 34-car for sure. 8/10.
Riley Herbst No. 35 Tree Top Toyota
This is my surprise scheme of the week. I did not expect Tree Top to have a paint scheme this nice.
Riley Herbst could use a solid run at Atlanta. His NASCAR season hasn’t been the most amazing. Any decent finish would go a long way for Herbst. 8/10.
Tyler Reddick No. 45 Superman Upper Deck Toyota
Upper Deck and Superman? Tyler Reddick is going to try and put on his best Clark Kent impression and be a hero on Sunday.
No wins for 23XI Racing this season. They could really use one. Reddick is the defending regular-season champion. Does he get a big win this weekend? 8/10.
Ty Gibbs No. 54 Sonic/Grillo’s Pickles Toyota
Uh oh, look out Front Row. Ty Gibbs is sporting Sonic and Grillo’s Pickles this weekend. Could JGR and FRM be fighting over the pickle brand?
Blue and green, not bad. I do appreciate the fact that they combined the Sonic logo with the Grillo’s pickle mascot. Not many brands that co-sponsor cars would do that. 7.5/10.
Daniel Suárez No. 99 Quaker State Chevy
Has there ever been a bad Quaker State paint scheme? Daniel Suárez desperately needs a win if he wants to make the NASCAR Playoffs. 27th in points isn’t going to cut it without a win.
The greens and yellows make this one of the best-looking cars of the weekend. Atlanta has a lot of great cars for Sunday. 8.5/10.
