NASCAR issues $50,000 in fines after the race at Talladega Superspeedway

Over the weekend, NASCAR raced at Talladega Superspeedway. The 2.66-mile hosted both the NASCAR Cup Series and Xfinity Series.

Two NASCAR Xfinity Series teams have been found in violation regarding rear bumper covers. The No. 87 fielded by Jordan Anderson Racing as well as the No. 99 fielded by Viking Motorsports.

Both teams have been fined $25,000 each. They’ve also been docked points.

In post-race inspection, the cars driven by Ryan Preece and Joey Logano were disqualified. That was previously reported.

No further penalties have been announced.
