NASCAR qualifying results, Talladega race starting lineup set

Michael McDowell is on the pole for the YellaWood 500 NASCAR Cup Series race on Oct. 19 at Talladega.

McDowell’s lap of 52.481 seconds was fastest in the second round of qualifying on Oct. 18.

Among playoff drivers, Chase Elliott will start the furthest down the order in 25th.
