LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – The Big Ten Conference has announced the full calendar for its 2025-26 Olympic sports championships, and Nebraska is set to play a major role in the spring.

Championship action begins October 31 with Michigan State hosting cross country. Indiana will welcome field hockey November 6–9.

Women’s soccer wraps up at Energizer Park in St. Louis on November 9, while the men’s tournament title will be decided November 16 at the top seed’s home field.

Winter championships kick off in February, with women’s swimming and diving at Minnesota (Feb. 18–21) and men’s at Wisconsin (Feb. 25–28).

Indoor track and field returns to the Indiana Farm Bureau Fall Creek Pavilion in Indianapolis on Feb. 27–28, a high-profile meet after Big Ten teams won both NCAA titles in 2025.

Penn State hosts wrestling March 7–8 at the Bryce Jordan Center, and ice hockey will follow a new two-week, single-elimination format, with all rounds on campus sites and the final held March 20–21 at the highest remaining seed.

In addition to hosting outdoor track and field (May 15–17), Nebraska will welcome women’s gymnastics on March 20–21 and men’s gymnastics April 3–4. The baseball tournament caps the season in Omaha from May 19–24.

Other key highlights include:

  • Women’s lacrosse returns to Michigan for the first time since 2018 (April 22-26), and Rutgers hosts the men’s tournament (May 2).
  • Women’s tennis will be held at Ohio State, while the men’s tournament heads to Ojai, California (both April 23–26).
  • Championship golf goes west for the first time: women’s at Oakmont Country Club in Glendale, California (April 24–26), and men’s at Pumpkin Ridge in Oregon (May 1–3).
  • Maryland hosts its first softball tournament May 6–9.
