Wisconsin 3, Stanford 1

Regional Semifinal – Austin, Texas

The Badgers defeated 2-seed Stanford (25-17, 21-25, 25-23, 25-22) behind another prolific performance on the offensive end—hitting .420 (70 – 15 – 131) by the conclusion of the four-set match.

The Badgers (27-4) were clicking on all cylinders in the first frame, as UW exploded for a .514 swinging percentage to jump out to a hot start in the first frame.

With the match in the balance in the fourth set, Colyer racked up her 2,000th kill of her career —accumulating a match-high 27 at Gregory Gym. The senior earned her final three in the late stages of set four, pushing Wisconsin to the Regional Finals.

Offensively, Booth tied a career-best with 14 kills, last doing so in the Regional Semifinal last season against Texas A&M. The Denver, Colorado, native swung .700 (14 – 0 – 20) against the Cardinal, as she finished errorless for the fourth-straight match.

Middle blocker Alicia Andrew joined her in the process, racking up seven kills on nine attempts without an attack error.

Setter Charlie Fuerbringer was the centerpiece throughout the entirety of the match, tallying a career-high 61 assists to guide the Badgers to their highest hitting percentage in a four-set match in program history.

Lanham Designated Kwik Star Summit Peak Performer Following 400M School Record

Published

on

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — In consecutive weeks to open the 2025-26 indoor campaign, Kansas City Track & Field has won the Kwik Star Summit League Men’s Track Peak Performer of the Week award, with 400-meter dash program record holder Tory Lanham taking the conference honor this time around. Last week, it was KC’s Stephen Clunis who brought home the weekly reward for his efforts, boasting an NCAA-best 6.61 time in the 60-meter dash at the Crimson & Gold Invitational. This week, it’s the outdoor All-American’s turn to get on the board with a Peak Performer honor of his own.

Lanham glided down the track at the Husker Holiday Open, darting a 47.62 second time to set the indoor 400-meter dash program record and break teammate Jayden Henry’s previous school record of 47.71 which was set last indoor season. Lanham’s 47.62 time is not only first in the Summit League by just over a full second, but it also ranks as the fifth best time in the country, only trailing four other runners who have raced in the 400m event this season. Lanham’s 400m time, along with Clunis’ NCAA-leading time in the 60m makes this is the first time in program history that two athletes have been top five nationally at the same time.

Even more remarkable, Lanham’s 47.62 isn’t his personal best in the 400-meter dash overall. While it is a personal record for the Kansas City, Mo. native in the indoor ranks, Lanham ran a 47.14 last outdoor season at the South Dakota Tune-Up, making that his best 400m time of his career. Lanham now holds indoor school records in the 200, 300 and 400-meter dashes and has now brought home the fourth Summit Peak Performer of Week award of his career for indoor track and field and his first of the current indoor season.
