No. 1 Nebraska volleyball (21-0, 11-0) continues Big Ten play by hosting the Oregon Ducks (13-8, 4-7) on Sunday afternoon. The Huskers enter Sunday continuing their best start since 2023.
Nebraska took the first two sets (25-21, 25-20) over the Ducks, despite Oregon taking the lead multiple times. But the Huskers stood their ground, earning the set wins by hitting 24-of-51 with 22 digs, six blocks and three service aces. Nebraska enters set three with a .353 attack percentage while the Ducks hold a .208 after going 28-of-72.
Harper Murray leads the way through two sets, hitting 8-of-16 with seven digs, two blocks and no errors. Taylor Landfair and Andi Jackson have both delivered five kills and two blocks. Virginia Adriano stands at three kills off five attacks, while Rebekah Allick holds a team-high three blocks.
Nebraska also comes in on 12 consecutive sweeps and 37 straight set wins, both the most in school history since 2007. The Huskers rank first in the nation on offense with a .335 hitting percentage and rank second on defense, holding opponents to a .112 hitting percentage.
Harper Murray leads the team with 3.63 kills per set, 2.24 digs per set and a team high 19 aces. Bergen Reilly runs the offense at an elite level with an average of 10.02 assists per set, while adding a team-high 2.68 digs per set.
Oregon comes in with a 13-8 overall record and a 4-7 mark in the Big Ten. The Ducks are currently on a two-match losing streak falling to Wisconsin last week and Washington on Halloween night. Alanah Clemente leads the Ducks with 3.54 kills per set. Valentina Vaulet averages 3.36 kills per set. The duo also combines for 63 service aces on the season.
Nebraska is 7-3 all-time against Oregon and will clash for the second time as conference foes. The Huskers swept the Ducks in Eugene last year and now battle in Lincoln for the first time since 2018. Oregon’s last win against Nebraska occurred in 2022 when the Ducks defeated the Huskers in five sets in the Louisville Regional semi-final.
