NESCAC Names Spring All-Sportsmanship Squad

Ten Panthers were named all-sportsmanship honorees.

The New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) released its All-Sportsmanship teams for the spring campaign. The squad is composed of one student-athlete from each league institution for each sport. Each honoree is selected by the players and coaches of their team for their persistence in sportsmanship. An athlete must be in good academic standing and a member of the team for the whole season to be selected.

The following Middlebury student-athletes were named to the All-Sportsmanship Team:

Katie Bruno – Junior –  Seymour, Conn. – Women’s Track and Field

Zari Garfield – Senior –  Washington, D.C. – Women’s Lacrosse

Kunal Handa – Senior – Huntersville, N.C. – Baseball

Abigail Jankowski – Senior – Methuen, Mass. – Softball

Tucker Lamb – Junior – Pittsburgh, Pa. – Men’s Golf

Isaiah Izzo Lizardi – Senior – West Hartford, Conn. – Men’s Track and Field

Noah Lewis – Sophomore – Gaithersburg, Md. – Men’s Tennis

Finn McCarthy – Senior – Milton, Ga. – Men’s Lacrosse

Mia Politano – Senior – Brandon, Vt. – Women’s Golf

Nathalie van der Reis – Senior – Miami, Fla. – Women’s Tennis

Lizardi and van der Reis each earn the honor for the second time, while the other eight are first-time selections. The full list of honorees can be found here.
