During Super Bowl LIX Opening Night, a reporter asked Goedert about Swift, given her high-profile relationship with Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. Instead of playing along, Goedert hilariously shot back:
“Is she the one that sings Don’t Go Chasing Waterfalls?”
Cue the collective facepalm. That song isn’t Taylor Swift—it’s TLC’s 1995 hit. And just like that, the internet had a new favorite Super Bowl moment.
Despite acknowledging that Swift is an “incredible artist”, Goedert admitted she’s nowhere near his playlist.
“She’s an incredible artist, but she ain’t on my playlist,”
Instead, he name-dropped Meek Mill and Kendrick Lamar as his go-to artists. And honestly, fair enough—the man prefers Dreams and Nightmares over Love Story.
