Sophomore Avery Glynn secured a 78-78 tie with her UTM opponent.“Mary-Grace (Segars) had an outstanding weekend in both events and it was great to have her riding so well,” Braswell said. “Caroline (Fredenburg) continues to prove that we can rely on her consistency and I’m so proud of her performances these two days.”Fences opened up the second half with a dominant performance, putting together a 4-1 advantage to push the Tigers to a 9-4 lead with one event to go.Fifth year Ellie Ferrigno was honored as MOP for her win on the Flat, while junior Alexia Tordoff picked up MOP in Reining.The Tigers (8-1) once again swept the Most Outstanding Performer honors, including a pair of MOP repeats from senior Mary-Grace Segars and junior Caroline Fredenburg. Segars picked up her second-straight MOP in Fences on the weekend, while Fredenburg was honored for her performance in Horsemanship for the second-consecutive day.Glynn kicked off the half with a 76-73 win, while senior Sophee Steckbeck scored 74 points in her victory. Ferrigno followed with a 75 to take the point and Segars capped team scoring with her MOP ride, 89-78.Reining went 3-1-1 and was led off by Tordoff’s 72-71.5 MOP victory. Fredenburg started with a 74.5-72 win before Tordoff earned a 74-73 edge over Lillian Laney. Sophomore Brooke Jolstad tied her opponent to conclude the day, 73.5-73.5“We had a great crowd today and I want to thank the Auburn fans for supporting this team,” head coach Jessica Braswell said. “Today was a good win. We had some mistakes we will have to correct before we go into conference play next week. I think the team understands the urgency we need to practice with this week.”AUBURN, Ala. – The No. 1 Auburn equestrian team capped a busy weekend with another victory, topping No. 9 UT Martin Saturday afternoon at the Auburn University Equestrian Center, 11-6.Auburn put together a 5-3 lead to start the day following Reining and Flat.
