Kyle Larson won Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Texas Motor Speedway in overtime, claiming his second Xfinity win of the year.

Larson, who was not originally scheduled to run got the call from Jr Motorsports after Connor Zilisch was sidelined this week due to a back injury suffered last weekend at Talladega.

“Thanks to JRM for letting me come run this thing here today,” Larson told the CW post-race. “You know, obviously wish Connor was in the car but means a lot that they thought of me to call up to run this thing,” Larson said.

Rounding out the top five were Taylor Gray in second, Riley Herbst in third, Austin Hill in fourth and Sam Mayer in fifth.

Taylor Gray, who finished runner-up on Saturday scored his career best finish.

Rounding out the top ten were Harrison Burton in sixth, Jesse Love in seventh, Ryan Sieg in eighth, Brandon Jones in ninth and Jeb Burton in tenth.

Saturday’s race saw 11 cautions and 24 of the 38 car field were involved in incidents over the course of the race, the most in Xfinity Series history at Texas.

Justin Allgaier, who won Stage 1 was involved in a wreck when he made contact with the slower car of Kris Wright in the rear bumper. Allgaier would finish 35th after leading 99 laps of the race and winning the opening stage.

The NASCAR Xfinity Series has a few weeks off before heading to Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 24th at 4:30 p.m. Eastern on the CW Network.

Stage 1 Winner: Justin Allgaier

Stage 2 Winner: Austin Hill
