As has been well-documented, Mahomes was also a very good scholastic baseball player. The son of Pat Mahomes, Sr., an 11-year Major League Baseball pitcher, the Chiefs current signal-caller was a drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the 37th round of the in the 2014 MLB First-Year Player Draft in the 37th Round. He was the 1,120th overall pick.
