In October 2024, we announced that Norwegian Cruise Lines would be launching operations in Galveston, Texas, introducing some vessels and constructing a new port terminal for the cruise line.
This week, it was revealed that Royal Caribbean, which is already operating out of Galveston, plans to introduce one of the globe’s biggest cruise ships to the port, with sailings beginning in 2026.
Recently, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines completed the construction of a cutting-edge terminal. This terminal is among the most convenient to access, check-in, and board the ship. We have traveled with Royal Caribbean numerous times, and ever since the terminal was established, we can embark on the ship in under 20 minutes from parking to boarding.
At present, the Harmony Of The Seas is operating from the Royal Caribbean terminal in Galveston, providing passengers with a seven-day Western Caribbean cruise to the Roatan Islands in Honduras, Costa Maya Mexico, and Cozumel Mexico from Sunday to Sunday. Additionally, the Jewel Of The Seas is departing from Galveston offering a nine-day cruise.
Beginning in May 2026, Royal Caribbean will introduce one of the world’s largest cruise ships to the Galveston port, the Symphony Of The Seas, which belongs to its Oasis Class Ships. The Symphony will feature six to eight-day cruises to the Western Caribbean, visiting spots like Costa Maya, Roatan, Nassau, and Perfect Day at CocoCay.
