Oregon boosting hunting, fishing fees in 2026

Oregon hunters and anglers will pay more for licenses and tags in 2026, the first increase since 2020.

On average, prices will rise by 12% to 14%, according to the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife. Increases for certain licenses will rise by more. The cost of a sports pac, for instance, will increase by about 29%. These are the first increases since 2020, according to ODFW.

The cost for a combined angling tag will rise by 50%, which reflects “the complexity and high cost of managing salmon/steelhead fisheries,” according to ODFW.

The cost for a resident hunting tag will increase from $34.50 to $39, a 13% rise.

The cost for a controlled hunt application rises from $8 to $10.

Some items will cost the same, including a youth combination license, which will remain at $10 through at least 2030.

Discounts will continue for senior, active military members and veterans.

Two more price hikes, averaging 6% to 8%, are scheduled to take effect in 2028 and 2030.

“Like all businesses and households, ODFW has seen a rise in costs due to inflation,” according to the agency’s website.
