Oregon volleyball gives fans first look with Green and Yellow Scrimmage
With a roster full of new faces, the event provided some answers to the questions surrounding the team.
The yellow team demonstrated a lot of hustle and scrappiness, but team green was on a roll all night winning the match four sets to zero.
Head Coach Trent Kersten says he is excited for the challenge of competing with this new group of Ducks.
“We’re accepting the challenge of being new,” Kersten said. “We’ve got 16 people that haven’t played together before and we’re playing against people that have been playing together a lot of years. What a cool opportunity, it’s a blank slate for us at the same time we want to carry the tradition of Oregon volleyball the people that have come before us established. We want to carry on that weight and hopefully bring that into playing free and being competitive in the Big Ten.”
Oregon will take on Oregon State next in another preseason exhibition on August 23.
