Pfaff Lamborghini team confirms 2026 IMSA line-up
Pfaff Motorsports has announced its drivers for the 2026 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, confirming Lamborghini Squadra Corse drivers Andrea Caldarelli and Sandy Mitchell for the full season.
Mitchell replaces fellow Lamborghini factory driver Marco Mapelli and will make his full-time IMSA debut after a handful of one-off appearances, including last season’s Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen, where he filled in for Mapelli.
In the Rolex 24 At Daytona, the last hurrah for the Canadian team’s No. 9 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2, Caldarelli and Mitchell will be joined by Mirko Bortolotti and NTT IndyCar Series race winner-turned-commentator James Hinchcliffe.
The new Lamborghini Temerario GT3 will then make its debut at the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, where Franck Perera will be the third driver – both at Sebring and at Petit Le Mans.
Pfaff Motorsports recently completed an endurance test at Sebring International Raceway with the Temerario, with Caldarelli, Mapelli, Perera, and Mitchell on hand to put the car through its paces ahead of its March debut.
The Pfaff team will be looking for its first IMSA win since the 2023 Twelve Hours of Sebring, with the No. 9 Lamborghini’s best finish last year being a third in Detroit.
