Jassim Shaheen Al Sulaiti from Qatar has been appointed Vice-President of the Arab Archery Federation for the upcoming term (2024-2028).

The Secretary-General of the Qatar Shooting and Archery Association was chosen on Thursday during an assembly of the Arab Archery Federation held in Sulaymaniyah, Iraq, coinciding with the Arab Archery Championship.

The assembly also saw the re-election of Ibrahim Al Dosari from Saudi Arabia as president.

Al Sulaiti attributed his success to the steadfast backing of the Qatar Olympic Committee, led by HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani, for archery in Qatar.

The emergence of Qatari talents now taking prominent roles in leading Arab, Asian, and international shooting bodies highlights the advancement of the sport in Qatar, he noted.

Al Sulaiti further stated that the confidence placed in him reflects the strong standing of Qatari administrative talents within regional, continental, and international sports organizations.
