The Broncos have lost a longtime executive to an AFC West rival.The Raiders are restructuring their front office after last month having hired as general John Spytek, who had gotten to know Thewes when he was a Broncos scout from 2013-15. They also last month hired Pete Carroll as head coach.Thewes had originally joined the Broncos on Jan. 12, 2009, as assistant to then-head coach Josh McDaniels. The Las Vegas Raiders on Tuesday announced the hiring of Mark Thewes as senior vice president of football operations and strategy. Thewes spent the past 16 years with the Broncos, most recently as vice president of football operations and compliance.
