CHICAGO – Loyola Chicago men’s golf is back to work this week at the Bell Bank “Pay It Forward” Collegiate hosted by Minnesota and St. Thomas. Action is scheduled for March 24-25 at the Wigwam Resort and Golf Club in Litchfield, Arizona.
Both days are scheduled for a 10 a.m. CT shotgun start on the 7,345-yard, par-72 course.
The teams in the field are Bethel, Creighton, Denver, Drake, Eastern Michigan, Iowa State, Loyola Chicago, Marquette, Minnesota, Nebraska, Omaha, North Dakota, South Dakota, South Dakota State, St. Thomas, and UC Santa Barbara.
Charlie Kulwin, Sebastian Kasun, Ryan Walsh, Zach Mulhearn, and Jackson Overton will play for the Maroon & Gold this week.
The Ramblers were last on the course at the Babygrande Ross Collegiate Classic in Southern Pines, North Carolina two weeks ago. The team took 11th out of 20.
Kulwin led Loyola with a top-25 finish, coming in tied for 21st. He finished with a score of 218 (77-72-69). He improved 12 spots with his three-under-par score in round three.
Kasun, Walsh, and Mulhearn also competed in the event, while this marks Overton’s spring debut.
