Nine Power Four jobs have opened during the 2025 college football season, and Auburn is expected to be among the most desirable destinations after Sunday’s Hugh Freeze firing. Recruiting potential is a key factor for coaching candidates, alongside NIL collective spending and booster support.

There’s more than a $15 million disparity in collective funding among open coaching jobs, with the top opening generating $20.1 million compared to $5.3 million for the lowest, according to the latest NCAA-NIL estimates.
