GAINESVILLE, Fla.– One of the Florida Gators‘ top targets in the NCAA Transfer Portal is taking a visit with the program.

Arkansas transfer guard Boogie Fland will visit the program on Monday, marking his first trip to Gainesville since entering the portal. On3’s Zach Abolverdi first broke the news before multiple outlets later confirmed Fland’s visit.

Fland is rated as the No. 3 point guard and No. 10 overall player in the portal, according to On3.

The former NBA Draft entry has been linked with Florida on multiple occasions since announcing his intentions to leave Arkansas. UF senior writer Chris Harry previously reported that head coach Todd Golden met with a transfer portal target in New York City with Fland believed to be the player due to being from The Bronx.

Then, after Fland withdrew from the NBA Draft, Golden hinted that Florida was close to sealing the deal with a portal target, also believed to be Fland.

“We are still working on it,” he recently said on the ‘Run It Back’ podcast co-hosted by former Gator Chandler Parsons. “We are close to adding an impactful player that might help get us over the top.”

In his lone season with the Razorbacks, Fland averaged 13.5 points and 5.1 assists per game while shooting 34 percent from the field.

With the Gators losing four contributing guards in seniors Walter Clayton Jr., Alijah Martin and Will Richard and outgoing transfer Denzel Aberdeen, a commitment from Fland is of the upmost importance to Florida as it looks to rebuild its guard rotation.

The Gators recently added transfers Xaivian Lee (Princeton) and AJ Brown (Ohio) to its roster while retaining reserve guard Isaiah Brown. Florida will also welcome high school recruits Alex Lloyd and CJ Ingram to the fold for the 2025-26 season.

Tyrese Haliburton Says NBA Finals Game 7 Will Be ‘1 of the Biggest’ Games Of Our Lives

Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton understands the magnitude of the team’s upcoming clash with the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals.

“This is going to be one of the biggest, if not the biggest, game most of us will ever play in our lives and for our organization from a historic standpoint as well,” Haliburton told reporters on Saturday.

The Pacers trailed the series 3-2, but forced Game 7 with a dominant 108-91 victory over the Thunder in Game 6 on Thursday.

Both teams will now meet for the first Game 7 of the Finals since 2016.

With a win, Indiana would secure its first Larry O’Brien Trophy in team history.

Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle, who previously won a championship with the Dallas Mavericks, was also excited for Game 7.

“This is what it’s all about,” Carlisle said, via NBA.com’s Wheat Hotchkiss. “This is what you dream about growing up, this kind of opportunity…The opportunity to play in a game like this is a great honor and a great privilege.”

As for Haliburton, he’s averaging 14.8 points, 6.8 assists, 5.3 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game in the Finals so far. The two-time All-Star is shooting 44.7 percent from the field, but just 31.7 percent from three-point territory.

Haliburton has been dealing with a calf strain as of late, although he confirmed to reporters that he’ll be “ready” for Game 7.

Despite his relatively disappointing individual production against Oklahoma City, he still helped Indiana jump out to a 1-0 series lead with a game-winning jumper that gave the team a 111-110 victory in Game 1.

Tip-off for Game 7 between the Pacers and Thunder is on Sunday at 8 p.m. ET.

SEATTLE – Washington softball head coach Heather Tarr has announced the addition of left-handed pitcher, Ryan Maddox, to the roster.

“Ryan brings a left-handed arm and a championship edge,” Tarr said. “She’s a proven winner from Fresno, California; battle-tested after two years at Arizona.”

This past season at Arizona as a redshirt freshman, Maddox threw 49.2 innings in 20 appearances and seven starts. She held opponents to a .273 average while earning three wins and a save. Maddox had a career-high six strikeouts against Weber State and threw her first career complete game against UCF.

Coming out of high school, Maddox was named the 2023 California Gatorade Player of the Year and was the No. 6 national recruit by Extra Inning Softball. She was a NFCA High School All-American honoree in 2022 (third team) and 2023 (second team). In addition, Maddox was a three-time Tri-River Athletic Conference Player of the Year and two-time Fresno Bee Softball Player of the Year.

“Her toughness adds to a seasoned staff led by Sophia Ramuno, Morgan Reimer (recently named to Team Canada’s roster) and Rylee Rehbein,” Tarr added. “We’re leveling up, and Ryan’s experience pushes us even higher.”

Maddox played for Husky Hall of Famer Sara Pickering for seven seasons of travel ball with Central Cal DirtDogs. In 2023, Maddox led OC Batbusters Stith win the Alliance National Championship and the Triple Crown Sports Championship in 2022.

While at Washington, Maddox plans on majoring in nutritional science.

The 2025-26 College Football season kicks off in a little more than two months. Like last year, the College Football Playoff will feature a 12-team format.

Ohio State celebrates after defeating Notre Dame in the 2025 CFP National Championship

Seeds No. 1 through 4 will earn first-round byes, while Nos. 5 through 12 play each other in that first round.

However, in 2025, the top four seeds in the 12-team field will be the top-four ranked teams instead of the four highest-ranked conference championship game winners.

So with 12 spots up for grabs, bettors are diving into the odds for which teams they think will secure a berth and which ones will be on the outside looking in.

Remember, this market is all about who gets in — not who wins it all.

With that in mind, let’s check out some of those odds at DraftKings Sportsbook as of June 20.

Arch Manning & Cade Klubnik in Joel Klatt’s top three QBs for the 2025 season

Arch Manning & Cade Klubnik in Joel Klatt’s top three QBs for the 2025 season

Last season, the 12 teams that made the Playoff were Oregon, Georgia, Boise State, Arizona State, Texas, Penn State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Tennessee, Indiana, SMU and Clemson.

And as the committee moves forward in 2025 with changes regarding how it seeds, FOX Sports Lead College Football Analyst Joel Klatt noted that the “wonky” process needed to improve.

“Boise State and Arizona State got first-round byes. Oregon, the only undefeated team entering the CFP, got a bum draw and had to play Ohio State in the quarterfinals,” Klatt wrote.

“That model wasn’t great and penalized the top-seeded team rather than rewarding them. We want to avoid that.”

And for bettors looking for expert analysis on which teams will finish in the top 10 next season, Klatt’s way-too-early projection includes Michigan, LSU, Miami Hurricanes, Clemson, Notre Dame, Oregon, Georgia, Ohio State, Texas and Penn State.

Brent Key supports one transfer portal window in January for college football

Georgia Tech head coach Brent Key is in support of one transfer portal window for January when it comes to college football. According to him, he’s not alone in that assessment.

That’s what they voted for among the AFCA. With two portal windows in the winter and spring, college football has seen unprecedented movement in recent years. You’ll even see early enrollee freshman practice and be on campus for three months and immediately transfer in the spring window, for one reason or another.

There’s already discussions to remake the spring football calendar. So if that gets done, along with one transfer portal window, Key and others will see a smoother process in college football’s offseason.

“I spoke my mind internally to our conference head coaches and the AFCA and gave my votes,” Key said on Sirius XM. “But that’s uncontrollable by me, and that’s a lot of wasted time and energy to worry about things that you can’t control and you cannot affect, right? I’m worried about spending time on things that I can affect, and that’s not one of them. I support the one portal window.

“And just as every other college football head coach voted for … we unanimously came out of the AFCA meetings, unanimously voting for an early January portal day. I support that and I stand strong with the rest of the college football coaches.”

Brent Key supports one transfer portal window

As for the transfer portal, current rules call for two windows – one in the winter after the final CFP rankings announcement and another during the spring. However, coaches don’t want the portal to open during the spring, according to On3’s Pete Nakos. Instead, coaches like Key and others want one singular window.

“I’m certainly in favor of shortening the portal windows,” South Carolina head coach Shane Beamer previously told On3. “I’m not anti-portal. We’ve benefited from the portal, but people don’t need two different portal windows that cover around six weeks to decide that they want to transfer from somewhere. You either want to be a part of that program or you don’t.”

Dates for the 2025-2026 winter transfer portal window have not officially been released. Last year saw things open up right after conference championship week until Dec. 28. Players who were still in the CFP were given special exemptions and provided the opportunity to enter for a few days after being eliminated.
