Saelua Earns NEWMAC Women’s Volleyball Offensive Athlete of the Week Honors

Springfield, Mass. – September 22, 2025 – For the first time in her collegiate career, Springfield College junior Jodi Saelua (Mililani, Hawaii) has been named as the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women’s Volleyball Offensive Athlete of the Week.

Saelua had a standout week for the Springfield College women’s volleyball program which won all four of its matches in three sets. Saelua hit .630 on the week and made just three errors across 12 sets highlighted by a 14-0-16 performance (.875) against Oneonta and a 11-0-17 performance (.647) against Sarah Lawrence. The junior middle blocker also recorded 15 total blocks – eight of which came against Sarah Lawrence at the Stevens quad.

Springfield (10-2, 0-0 NEWMAC) will open NEWMAC play tomorrow evening at 7:00 pm at Wellesley College.
