PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown open and women’s sailing team posted podium finishes in two of their three events over the weekend.The women’s sailing team will host the Dellenbaugh Trophy at home from Mar. 29-30 at 10:30 a.m.
The women’s sailing team earned a second place finish in the Duplin Trophy Team Race hosted by Harvard. Brown finished with an 11-5 record putting them behind Yale, who finished with a 15-1 record in the event. The Bears cruised past Harvard, the College of Charleston, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston College, Tulane, Roger Williams, and Bowdoin to earn their podium finish. Katharine Doble, Francesca Edmands, Kaitlyn Hamilton, Laura Hamilton, Menasha Leport, Katherine Majette, Katherine McNamara, Sidney Moyer, and Savannah Young led the Bears to second place. UP NEXT

The team swept the race, posting an impressive 10-0 record at the event. Brown beat out Tufts, Rhode Island, Boston University, Northeastern, and Bowdoin for first place. James Brock, Reese Corckran, Charles Gish, Phoebe Hackett, Corinne Harrison, Tyler Lamm, Janelle Li, and Sidney Moyer took the Bears to victory.

The Bears finished seventh out of ten teams. The team finished the event with a 5-9 record. Blake Behrens, Leyton Borcherding, Guthrie Braun, Helen Horangic, Caroline Keeffe-Jones, Olivia Miller, Emily Mueller, Brianna Ross, Camren Spriggs, and Mason Stang represented the Bears at the event.
