On a day that saw a pair of Whitman-Hanson pitchers throw no-hitters, BC High graduate Ozzy Trapilo stole the headlines when he was selected by the Chicago Bears out of Boston College, followed by Everett High alum Josaiah Stewart going in the third round to the Rams.
Trapilo, who hails from Norwell, was taken in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-8-inch, 316-pound offensive lineman (with, yes, 33-inch arms) was selected by the Bears with the 56th overall pick.
Trapilo, who was ranked as the No. 2 prospect in Massachusetts in the Class of 2020, played four seasons at Boston College, earning All-ACC First Team honors while starting 12 games at right tackle. In all, he started 36 games for the Eagles, including all 12 as a junior, when he didn’t allow a sack in 363 dropback snaps.
His father, Steve Trapilo, who died in 2004 when Ozzy was 2, was an All-American offensive lineman for Boston College and later played in the NFL for the Saints and Patriots.
Stewart, a 6-foot-1-inch, 249-pound edge rusher out of Michigan, was selected 90th overall by the Rams.
A New York City native, Stewart played tight end and defensive end for the Crimson Tide and was ranked as a top-10 Massachusetts prospect in the Class of 2021 by ESPN, Rivals, and 247Sports.
A second-team All-Big Ten selection, Stewart totaled 8½ sacks, 13 tackles for a loss, and two forced fumbles in 11 games for the Wolverines in 2024, where he transferred after two seasons at Coastal Carolina.
The number of the day was 100, and that was most evident for Silver Lake boys’ lacrosse, which saw senior Noah Palleschi register his 100th point as part of a five-goal day, plus junior Cole Miller record his 100th career goal in a 17-9 victory over Newton South.
Dighton-Rehoboth’s Olivia Thibert also notched her 100th career goal, scoring five in a 21-6 defeat of Seekonk.
Pingree’s Jonah Richardson and Cole Reeves combined on a five-inning no-hitter for Pingree in a 14-1 win over Wheeler (R.I.).
3. Walk-off wins
Dighton-Rehoboth baseball, North Quincy baseball, St. Mary’s baseball, and Masconomet softball all won in their final at-bat.
The Falcons (5-2) beat Oliver Ames, 2-1, on Aidan Melo’s sacrifice fly, which plated Lucas LeTourneau, who had led off the inning with a triple.
For North Quincy, it was Jake Wirtz who supplied an RBI single in the bottom of the eighth to secure a 3-2 win over Franklin.
Jaiden Driscoll was the hero for St. Mary’s, lifting the Spartans past Pope Francis, 5-4, by knocking in the winning run in the bottom of the seventh.
In the Northeast Conference, Aimee Quimby sent a hit up the middle to score Sabrina Cafarelli in the eighth inning, completing a 1-0 Chieftans win over No. 11 Marblehead.
4. Three stars
Tyler Adamo, Lynnfield — The junior, who is committed to Columbia, enjoyed an explosive day at the dish, finishing with nine total bases, ripping three doubles and a triple, scoring four runs, and knocking in two as the Pioneers topped Triton, 10-3.
Gus Da Silva, Milford — The junior put down 29 kills, leading a Scarlet Hawks offense that also got big contributions from Diego Inacio-Santos (19 kills) and Sam Abreu (17) in a 3-2 win over Cambridge.
Tom Crowley and Elizabeth McNaught, Whitman-Hanson — They may have played in different games, but the two pitchers were linked by their no-hitters. Crowley, a senior, struck out 14 and walked none as he threw the baseball team’s first no-hitter in at least three seasons, beating New Bedford, 7-0. McNaught, a sophomore, walked six, but didn’t allow a hit while striking out nine in a 2-0 win over Abington.
5. Going, going, gone
Junior Kiley Hogan cracked home runs in the fifth and seventh innings for Tyngsborough in a 13-6 loss to Tewksbury, giving her five longballs on the season, Revere’s Jordan Martelli and Frankie Reed both homered, Lexington’s Sofia Flores and Sophia Glavine went back-to-back, and Milton Academy’s Sadie Patel and Hannah Crowley added blasts.
The rest of the day’s homers belonged to: Pentucket’s Evelyn Howell, Apponequet’s Lucas Tremblay, Gloucester’s Emma Carrapichosa, Methuen’s Colleen McNamara, Silver Lake’s Mady Bryan, Malden’s Devin Otero Milonopoulos, Melrose’s Dylan Harrington, and Foxborough’s Ben Angelini.

Mike Molieri, a Menlo-Atherton High School teacher and varsity basketball coach, has taken legal action against the Sequoia Union High School District claiming retaliation and discrimination. Since being placed on administrative leave in August 2024, Molieri has been absent from the classroom and basketball courts while the district investigation continues.
The school district is now involved in at least five lawsuits alleging school administrators engaged in antisemetic practices, wrongful termination and discrimination.
According to the claim, Molieri believes he was “unlawfully placed on administrative leave in violation of the Whistleblower Protection Act” after bringing up his concerns about the district’s treatment of students. It also alleges that Molieri was discriminated against for his Latin heritage and his support for students of color.
Molieri worked at M-A as a special education teacher for 21 years and as the boys varsity basketball coach for 12 years. He’s led the basketball team to multiple championship games.
When his absence was noticed at the start of the school year, students and parents confronted the Board of Trustees during school board meetings asking why he was on leave and when he would return. According to some students, Molieri was known for providing youth with a safe space on campus and acted as a mentor to many students.
The last basketball season passed without the direction of Molieri who has yet to be interviewed as part of the district administration’s investigation into allegations made against him, according to the claim. Courtesy Dan Molieri. The district alleges he violated policies including: failure to notify the district of students he believed needed changes to their special education plan; disclosure of confidential student information to non-district employees; making false statements about students to staff and administrators; and soliciting parents, students and staff to engage in professional services of his brother Dan Molieri, a private investigator for the Law Offices of John Burris. Burris is representing the case involving the arrested M-A student in 2023.
The claim states that Mike Molieri “denies all allegations and denies that any such actions violated any applicable administrative polices or procedures.” It adds that these allegations only arose after he reported his belief that the district was involved in legal violations.
Dan Molieri believes said violations were in relation to sensitive information about the arrest of the M-A student, who was one of Mike Molieri’s students. The student, referred to as K.C. in lawsuits, allegedly had his confidential student records released to the police by an undisclosed person at M-A.
The claim states that Molieri heard of “an audio tape being shared with people that contained confidential information” regarding K.C.
According to the suit, Molieri communicated to administrators about his concerns for the student, confidentiality issues and concerns that he was being targeted due to his relationship with his brother and his advocacy for disadvantaged students of color.
“It was discussed that members of the administration were sharing confidential information that was portraying a minor student in a negative manner and doing so broke the rules of confidentiality as it relates to the Independent Education Program,” said the claim.
Molieri had intended to file a complaint alleging the district had violated federal policies through this breach of privacy, it added.
Leading up to his placement on leave, Molieri was involved in other incidents that date back to 2022 involving false accusations against his colleagues and difficulties with the district administrators
“We strongly believe that this is a case of ongoing harassment, discrimination and most importantly retaliation,” said Molieri’s attorney Harry Stern.
The claim is asking for more than $70,000 for damages including loss of income, emotional distress and damage to reputation. Molieri is currently seeking treatment for anxiety and stress as a result of being placed on leave, the complaint adds.
The district was served papers on April 29 and will now have the opportunity to evaluate the claim and decide whether to reject or accept it. If rejected, attorneys will have six months to file a lawsuit against the district.
“My hope is the district will do the right thing and accept responsibility, but we are planning on moving forward with a lawsuit if that is not the case,” Stern said.
The district did not immediately respond to this news organization about Mike Molieri’s investigation.

Before we get to the 200- and 100-level milestones, let’s start in Stoughton, where freshman goalie Joe Toupin posted the first shutout in program history during a 14-0 win over Bay Path.
Whittier senior Kyle DiCredico scored a goal and handed out six assists to push him over 200 career points while beating Somerville, 16-4. Winchester boys’ volleyball topped Arlington, 3-0, to mark the program’s 200th all-time victory. Franklin junior Sophia Sacramone notched her 200th career strikeout.
Senior Ramona Gillett scored three times for Marblehead in a narrow 14-13 victory over Beverly, including the 100th goal of her career. Norton’s Liana Danubio notched her 100th varsity hit in an 8-3 win over Westwood.
2. Walk-offs
Wilmington softball trailed Lowell Catholic, 4-3, in the bottom of the seventh when Sara Keck ripped a triple to spark a rally. She scored on Sophia Tentindo’s RBI groundout before Charlotte Forcina singled and raced home on an error.
On the girls’ lacrosse field, Whitman-Hanson’s Shannon Balfe netted the overtime winner in a 9-8 victory over Quincy.
3. Three stars
Rebecca Hornung, Southeastern — The senior provided two-way excellence in a 3-2 win over Tri-County, not allowing an earned run while striking out nine in a two-hitter, and supplying an RBI double and a steal of home as the Hawks pushed their winning streak to seven in a row.
Maggie Schlossberg, East Bridgewater — The junior struck out 13, yielding just one earned run on two hits without walking a batter, but her most impressive stats came at the dish, where she collected four hits, including two doubles, and drove in five runs in a 15-2 win over Pembroke.
Michael Wagner and Jayden Pelletier, St. John’s Prep — The senior outside hitters combined for 48 kills, with Wagner providing 26 and Pelletier chipping in with 22 in a 3-1 win over St. John’s (Shrewsbury) in a showdown of top-10 ranked Catholic Conference heavyweights.
4. Going, going, gone
Nobody displayed more power Wednesday than Pentucket freshman Kam Bonneau, who cranked a pair of home runs, including a grand slam, as part of a seven-RBI day in a 15-1 drubbing of Manchester Essex. Panthers teammate Kallie White added her first career blast.
Also leaving the yard was Tyngsborough’s Kiley Hogan and King Philip’s Ali Gill.
