DURHAM, N.C. – Six members of the Duke men’s lacrosse team have been selected to the USA Lacrosse U-20 Men’s training roster. The group heads to Orlando, Florida this week for a training camp in preparation for building the United States roster for the 2025 World Lacrosse Championships in Korea.

Sophomores Stephen Finnell, Patrick Jameison and Benn Johnston and freshmen Brendan Fulham, Nikolas Menendez and Luke Warrington are among the 43 players selected. All five participated in the three-day tryout over the summer.
Korea will host its first world championship, as the eighth edition of the men’s U20 championship will be held in mainland Asia for the second time in its history. The event will be held in Seoguipo on Jeju Island from August 15-24, 2025.

The Blue Devils will be represented across varying positions as Fulham helps anchor the longstick defensive group and Finnell in the shortstick middie contingency. Jameison is coming of a strong rookie season between the pipes, while Johnston and Warrington run in the midfield.

Johnston led all Duke freshman last season with 21 goals and eight assists for 29 points, while Jameison ranked second in the ACC and 16th nationally with a 10.25 goals against average. His .531 save percentage was also second best in the league. Finnell saw action in five games on a veteran rope unit. Fulham, Menendez and Warrington are among a heralded freshman group for the Blue Devils.

The U.S. has won each of the previous nine junior men’s world championships conducted, most recently in 2022 when all-world selections Kenny Brower (D), Graham Bundy Jr. (M), Liam Entenmann (G), C.J. Kirst (M) and Brennan O’Neill (A) led the U21 team (age increased due to COVID postponements) past rival Canada, 12-10, in Limerick, Ireland.
