RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – A skateboarder sustained severe injuries after being struck in a collision on Tuesday night in Reno.
Approximately at 8:45 p.m., Reno Police Department and REMSA officials responded to reports of a pedestrian being hit by a vehicle near the intersection of Mae Anne and Coit Plaza.
RPD reported that the pedestrian was skateboarding in a travel lane at the time of the accident. They were transported to the hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries.
The driver stayed at the scene and is assisting with the investigation. According to RPD, speed or impairment do not seem to be contributing factors in the incident.
