○… Organized by the 2018 Pyeongchang Memorial Foundation and sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation, and Gangwon State, the “2025 Dream Program” will be held in Pyeongchang and Gangneung, Gangwon-do from January 6 to 19. The Dream Program, which began in 2004, is a project to invite teenagers from countries that have difficulty accessing winter sports to Korea to provide winter sports training and Korean culture experience opportunities. This year, more than 120 disabled and non-disabled youths from 27 countries, including African countries, Mexico, and Nepal, will participate. Ten disabled youth from five countries (Iran, Kazakhstan, Australia, Argentina, and South Africa) will participate. Participating teenagers experience and communicate with Korean culture such as ▶ K-pop cover dance ▶ Tae Kwon-moo ▶ Nanta, along with winter sports training for each event.

○… The Korea Sports Association for the Disabled will hold a second working-level meeting with the Korean Federation of Deaf Sports in preparation for the 2025 Tokyo Deaflympics in the conference room of the new Olympic Hall in Songpa-gu, Seoul on the 7th. This meeting will discuss the size of the participating athletes, the participation budget, and the composition of the preparatory team. The Deaflympics is the largest international competition involving deaf athletes, held every four years, with summer and winter competitions alternating. The 2025 Tokyo Deaflympics will have more than 6,000 athletes from 70 countries participating in 21 events from November 15 to 26.
