BALL, La. (KALB) – ‘Cars for Claus’ took place on Saturday, December 7, featuring a car and truck exhibition that also served as a toy collection in the Town of Ball.
To participate in the car show, vehicle owners were required to either make a $25 contribution or provide a toy of similar worth. All proceeds from the car exhibition will be used to purchase toys for needy children in Ball, as stated by the event’s organizer.
“There are many underprivileged children in this area,” remarked Michael Wilson, Manager of South Custom Wheels and Tires. “I wanted to do everything I could to ensure those kids who might not experience Christmas have a joyful holiday.”
Wilson indicated that they aim to collaborate with local schools to identify which underprivileged children in Ball will receive the toys. He mentioned that Santa will distribute the toys the week leading up to Christmas.
