RENO, Nev. – Emilia Sjostrand established a facility record in the Women’s Long Jump as San José State Track & Field kicked off their indoor season at the Silver State Invitational and Multis on Friday and Saturday, December 6-7, at Reno-Sparks Convention Center.
- On Friday, Sjostrand secured first place in the Women’s Long Jump with a facility record mark of 6.47m (21’ 2¾”).
- Sjostrand currently holds the top women’s long jump mark worldwide.
- Eve Divinity captured third place in the Women’s Long Jump with a jump of 6.02m (19’ 9”).
- In the Men’s Long Jump, Tyson Bonilla came in third with a jump measuring 7.26m (23’ 10”).
- Alyssa Bean placed second in the Women’s 200m Dash, clocking in at 24.07 seconds.
- In the Men’s 200m Dash, Cameron Tarver finished second with a time of 21.54 seconds.
- Earlier today, Simone Johnson claimed first in the Women’s Triple Jump with a personal best of 13.32m (43’ 8½”).
- Sky Hagan ended up second in the Women’s 60m Hurdles, finishing in 8.23 seconds.
- Hagan also participated in the Women’s 60m Dash Prelim, securing second in her heat with a personal record of 7.44 seconds.
- Myles McFarland concluded the Men’s 60m Hurdles Prelim with a personal best of 8.17 seconds.
- McFarland finished second in the Men’s 60m Hurdles final, clocking in at 8.22 seconds.
- In the Men’s 4000 Distance Medley, the team consisting of Michael Chadwick, Cooper Decillo, Diego Cortes, Alexander Walker, Will Bujake, and Marcel Bovell achieved second place, finishing with a time of 10:25.31.
UP NEXT: The Spartans will take a break for the holidays before heading back to Reno to participate in the Silver & Blue Invitational on January 10-11.
