Staten Island youth sports notebook: Barbarino had historic Atlas golf win
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A couple of weeks before his title win in the Boys division of the Jody Memorial Championships last Thursday, soon-to-be Tottenville High Schooler Steven Barbarino accomplished a rare feat at the Dr. Theodore Atlas CYO Grammar School Golf Tournament.
The 14-year-old copped his third straight Atlas Boys’ crown in late June by shooting a sizzling 40 over nine holes.
